These dreams are still forming, but the foundation is already here—heart, purpose, and vision. The bridges are being built; the Pride is gathering.

The First Horizon

House of Lionheart’s inaugural voyage is here The First Horizon

An expedition by sea exploring people, place, and the relationships woven between them.

Beginning along the American coast and continuing into the Caribbean, Jasmine will travel aboard a small sailing vessel, documenting the journey through writing, photography, and film. Along the way, the voyage will follow the stories of those encountered—from sailors and artists to scientists, elders, local communities, and fellow wanderers.

At its heart, The First Horizon is about relationship: between people and one another, humanity and the natural world, history and the present. It will explore threads of diaspora, culture, faith, memory, ecology, and belonging as they emerge—not as separate stories, but as parts of the same living world.

What does the sea remember? What connects us across borders and waters? And what does relationship require of us once we truly encounter one another?

The First Horizon sets out not knowing every answer, but willing to cross the horizon in search of them.
